Thomas

The Thomas’ contacted us after viewing the Trex website and noticed we are Trex Pro Gold Installers. They had the standard, unusable pressure treated deck that continually needed maintaining. They wanted something they could use and enjoy without the constant pressure washing and staining. The result is the screen room / deck combination that they rave about. The screen room was constructed using Trex Transcends floor boards in the Lava Rock color. The deck complimented the screen room using Trex Transcends floor boards in the Rope Swing color, bordered with the Lava Rock color. The handrails are also Trex Transcends with the Rope Swing color on the top and bottom rails and round black balusters. The icing on the cake is the Trex low voltage lighting in the floor boards, stair treads, and handrail posts. The Trex hidden fastener system was used for the screen room and deck floor boards. The interior of the screen room roof is Armstrong’s Cherry Spice ceiling planks. Not only does this area look great, we also included storage underneath and covered the area with Hardie Siding to match the existing exterior of the house. This was a Trex Pro Gold’s dream job!

Christopher

This two story colonial home was missing something.  It was well maintained and had wonderful curb appeal, but the porch faded into the background.  We added this “A” frame porch which gave the home more character and flair.  The siding in the gable matches the house siding and the white maintenance free structural aluminum columns complement the existing white trim.  The white handrails and pickets where removed to give the porch a more open feel.  Not only did this porch add to the architectural value of the home, but also added practicality for the Christopher’s when family and friends visit during inclement weather.

Droubay

The Droubay’s had an existing deck that was in need of some major repair.  The handrails were not up to code and other parts of the deck were not structurally sound.  They wanted a space they could use to relax and not have to worry about a lot of maintenance.  We constructed this beautiful screen room with maintenance free Fiberon composite decking and white vinyl handrails.  We reversed the steps from the left side to the right side of the deck and added the screen room to the left side.  We removed a window and added a French door for a new access to the screen room and deck.  This new screen room and deck added the space they desired and has given them time to enjoy it, without the constant maintenance issues that they had to deal with before.

Frantz

The Frantz’s have a stunning home in the Deer Haven community located in Blue Ridge.  But it lacked some dimension and character in the front.  We constructed a hip roof porch with vinyl handrails to eliminate this problem.  The circular brick steps and sidewalk also added to the design of the porch.  The ceiling fans and vinyl bead board soffit makes the front porch a lovely place to sit and look at the Blue Ridge Mountains.
