The Booth’s had a good sized deck, but it could not be used when it was very hot or raining. Mr. Booth has MS and has to use a motorized scooter to get around. The deck was a nice place for him to be when the weather was nice, but when it got hot in the summer or if it was raining he was not able to enjoy the outdoors. The solution was a patio cover from Americana. The patio cover helps to reduce the heat from the hot summer sun and gives them a place to enjoy the outdoors when the summer afternoon showers arrive. With a large family it also gives them a place for the entire family to come together and enjoy their beautiful farm.

Months after eliminating an on-going water issue in their basement the Basham’s called us to add onto their one car garage.  Mr. Basham had always wanted some extra space to restore his antique car.  After completing the drawing and working with the county to obtain permission to build the garage due to road setback issues work began.  The challenge with this project was getting the new garage to tie into the existing garage.  Mr. Basham wanted to install a lift to work on his car which required a taller wall height in the new garage.  We overcame this issue and the finished product is the proof.  The new garage hip roof tied in well and the lift works perfectly.

The Fluker’s live in a patio home in Vinton.  They had a very nice area to sit and enjoy the outdoors, but during the heat of the day and when it was raining that space became unusable.  We installed an Americana patio cover to eliminate this problem.  We also installed a ceiling fan and another electrical outlet so that they can use the area much more often than they could before.  The Fluker’s now have an outdoor space they can relax in and relish for many years to come.

We did an extensive outdoor remodel for the Doyle’s that you can see in our Outdoor Living Space section.  The pergola’s we installed for this remodel are Trex Pergola’s.  They are maintenance free composite material.  The pergola’s have an aluminum insert for strength and then covered with the composite material.  This allows for large expansion and custom sizes are available along with different colors.  They can come as free standing ones such as the one shown over the hot tub.  Different column options are available to choose from and they also have the option to attach to the house as the one shown over the grill.  The Trex Pergolas are enduring and virtually upkeep free.
