Outdoor Living at its finest!  This stunning Outdoor Kitchen and Living Area combines excellent design along with being versatile and functional.  The Chardonnay Dry Stack Stone Columns and HardiePlank Siding mirror the design of the original home.  This created consistency and not the typical “added on” look that comes with many renovations.  Viking appliances, cable railings, retractable shades, outdoor infrared heaters, Ipe flooring and handrails are just a few of the unique features of this outdoor space.  This is the ultimate in outdoor entertaining.  Once completed the owner commented, “It was just as I had envisioned!”  There is no better compliment for a contractor.

This dock on Smith Mountain Lake was constructed using the typical pressure treated lumber.  Over the years it had become warped and splintered and was difficult along with costly to maintain.  We removed the pressure treated floor boards and handrails and replaced them with Trex Transcends flooring and handrails.  The floor is outlined with border boards and 45 degree angles to give it pizzazz and flair instead of the common squared off edges.  The steps leading from the house to the dock were also replaced with Trex Transcends.  Trex Rain Escapes was added to ensure a dry area for the boat and PWC to be stored under.  White vinyl bead board soffit was installed to give the underside a polished look.  HDMI cable and wireless internet were installed to give this dock a 21st century update.

What a transformation!  The before and after pictures say it all.  This two story outdoor living space features Trex Porch Flooring, stamped concrete, aluminum handrails, stacked stone grilling area, screen room on main level, drivit and barrel ceiling on upper level, Trex rain escapes for dry space areas, and a hot tub with Trex Pergola.  This remodel is on Strawberry Mountain in Roanoke and the views from the main and upper level spaces are incredible!  Windows were removed on the main and upper levels and replaced with Andersen sliding doors for new access to these areas.  The main level with the screen room and grill are mainly used for entertaining while the upper level is a private retreat for the Doyle’s.  Steel metal posts and structural fiberglass columns were used to support this massive addition.  Can lights, ceiling fans, decorative sconces, and low voltage lighting were added along with numerous other custom features that make this a one of a kind outdoor living space.

Mr. Beeler has an incredible house on Smith Mountain Lake that we constructed an awesome outdoor living area in the spring of 2011.  He called us back with an unusual project.  He wanted an outdoor shower for his kids and visitors to wash off after a day of relaxing on his beach area.   He wanted it to compliment his existing home and something that would not only be functional, but that would also be a conversation piece.  We constructed it using copper piping and hooked it up to his sprinkler system.  Not only is it functional, but as you can see it is quite the conversation piece.
